Stop Rushing and Start Living
Time poverty is a common 21st century prevalent society illness. "No time" has become a household phrase. We are always rushing for something. Rushing for time, rushing to catch the transportation, and rushing to meet job's demand.
Imagine we're all mice searching for the "success" chamber, but we don't know how it looks like nor do we bother to think how to get there. We are just running around like what the rest of the mice are doing ― aimlessly. Regardless of how hard working you are, scurrying around blindly will lead you to no where.
Eat, Pray, Love . . . and Slow Down
Living fast paced without taking regular maintenance rest will ensure a breakdown. Humans need rests, relaxation and recreation. We need time to think about things, to clear the mind, and to enjoy our life. Slowing down our pace can help you be more patient, less impulsive and helps you to rediscover yourself.
Slowing down and analysing parts of your life can be refreshing. You may realise that you are chasing after the wrong focus, you can make better decisions, you can better plan for important priorities rather than always rushing to complete the urgent tasks.
Don't try to hard and expect instant results; change don't happen overnight. Plan 3 minutes of your day to think of nothing. Yes, think of nothing. That means no iPhone, Samsung or any kind of contact with technology. Just sit still or lie down and breathe.
Focus on your breathing for that short period of time. Take in deep breaths and count to 8, and release with another counts of 8. Repeat this process until you feel comfortable before increasing to 10 minutes, and 15 minutes.
You may feel uncomfortable not doing anything, especially, with the amount of backlog piling up. It takes time to get used to it. This short 15 minutes escape may provide more benefits than you will ever imagine. Don't take slowing down too lightly.
Time to reflect and rediscover yourself
Internally driven resolutions come from a quiet, feeling state, where important messages come out of stillness. When you seek peace and ask yourself these critical questions, you will find enlightening answers. Then compare it with your present state of actions, how does it differ?
"What would you do if you weren't afraid?"
"What would you do if it is impossible to fail?
"Act like failure is not an option"
"What would you do if today was your last?"
Are your daily actions working towards what you answered?
You will not get it right on the first try. This has to be told upfront, many people expect to get instant results on their first try finding clarity with their life. It's like peeling an onion, you have to skin several layers before you see the core. The core is what you are seeking; finding clarity and purpose of your life.Â
 Plan, do, fail, learn, repeat
Each time you do this process, write a affirmation and visualisation of your desired outcome. Overtime, the picture will get clearer and clearer. You will begin to see what you want. Remember Iteration is your buddy; It is the act of repeating a process with the aim of approaching a desired goal, target or result.
