preseason thoughts
Being around archives, I think Lucy was pretty lucky that Ethan managed to keep all those records unharmed. Seriously-- It’s pretty easy for records to get lost, damaged, destroyed or manipulated, especially if Rittenhouse is as powerful as it’s made out to be. Surely he could have found a more secure room and one that didn’t have windows? If Ethan managed to keep all those records safely, surely he must have a few allies who will pop up somewhere?
I’m actually in two minds whether I want a 3rd season... I’m actually afraid that if Timeless is renewed we’ll go through unnecessary angst for Lyatt over the additional seasons or where they have to break up over ridiculous things... Case in point: Olicity. If there was a 3rd season could we have a positive committed relationship?
late to the show
I was just browsing the amazing jbuffyangel’s tumblr (http://jbuffyangel.tumblr.com/ she truly is an inspiration) and she posted a reblog of the timeless season 2 trailer featuring the lyatt kiss. Trying look for a distraction post being broken up with, I looked into a couple of descriptions of the show to see if it was worth watching. It seemed to tick all the boxes-- strong characters, action adventure which doesn’t take itself too seriously, immensely shippable couple, history fun facts-- and it reminded me of some of my favourite shows from years past: Indiana Jones (and Young Indiana Jones in particular), the Magnificent Seven TV series, Sliders (Quinn and Wade!), and JAG.
So I bought it. 16 episodes in 2 days later...
I am on board. Just in time for 2 weeks to Season 2!
It’s not a perfect show, but it doesn’t have to be.
And like Wyatt, I need to be open to possibilities, even though I don’t know what they are.
