Timeless!Percival AU
In this AU, the watch entity found out about the existence of Watcher!Percival in one of the alternate timelines. Watcher!Percival, aka the Watcher, has most of the abilities of the watch, but has mostly remained himself without any blatant influences from the entity. The watch entity itself has mostly disappeared, leaving only behind the magic that the Watcher now controls.
The watch entity, not liking the possibility of such a thing happening in this timeline as well, decided to take control of the situation. By initiating the merge, the watch entity would not disappear, but instead become the more dominant part of the personality.
The plan worked, and Timeless!Percival aka the Timeless is a rather frightening figure as a result. While this version of Percival still has a level of whimsy, he's also overly practical and severely lacks any humanity. He likes humans, he enjoys their company and he likes chatting to them, but he often forgets how fragile they are, and he's prone to making impulsive and careless decisions that put others in danger. He has little sympathy for others and can come across as cruel or even downright sadistic depending on how he is approached and the mood he's in.
He can be very helpful since he has all the abilities that the watch once possessed, but getting him to actually help you is usually the hard part.
