TIME for another pic of my time power based Half Genie to be dressed up as something that also happens to relate to her whole gimmick. :D

Dressed up as a character I’m willing to bet 95% of you don’t even know either. Or maybe 95% of people DO know who Reika is considering the whole reason I even know about Time Gal in the first place is because of one of the most popular and well known personalities on Youtube. Yeah, it was the Angry Video Game Nerd. Specifically, back when I was like 15 and came across the SEGA CD review. You know, that infamous add on for the SEGA Genisis made to extend it’s life but bombed hard and in hindsight I’m convinced was partly made to beat Nintendo to the punch back when they originally had plans to release a CD add on for the Super Nintendo. “Genisis does what Nintendon’t?” More like “Gensisis does what Ninendo is planning to do assuming they don’t break off any partnerships and create a bigger rival than us.” XD

Time Gal was actually one of those games ported to the SEGA CD. And yes, I say ported because it’s actually an arcade game from the 80’s that only ever got released in Japan. And only got 10 seconds of focus in that video considering it was on the add on itself and less full reviews on individual games. Well, Time Gal actually got a re-release recently, something I did not expect at all! Nor did I except them to redo the voice acting either. *You can still choose to play with the original voices from the original arcade version.* And I admit, I was actually kind of interested in it since it is one of those things that has stayed in the back of my mind for over a decade. And honestly, I actually kinda really enjoyed it. It’s actually a really charming game that’s worth it just for the humours fail animations… One of which involving Reika’s suit getting ripped and there being an humours achievement tied to it. Because of course lol. I’d compare it to Dragon’s Lair but Anime if it wasn’t for the fact I know most people my age probably wouldn’t even know what that is. So instead, I’ll say it’s like Heavy Rain but anime, doesn’t take itself seriously at all, way more QTE heavy, has no slow moments and with a fuckable looking protagonist *Sorry Eathn Mars* who probably wouldn’t look two out of place in a Vaporwave aesthetic compilation.

Plus, it gave me some much-needed inspiration for a pic involving Thayla given what her power is and what Reika is. Yeah, Thayla can’t travel back in time and can only reverse her own position in time by a few seconds, but the principle is still there and still works for this crossover. Even if granted Thayla and Reika’s professions are not only way different but they would probably be enemies if they actually met, what with Thyala being a thief and Reika being a time traveling police officer. But Reika’s fashion is right up Thayla’s ally two given what Thayla’s usual outfit is anyway so we’ll say she stole this outfit while Reika was in our time period. Or play it up as if this is a fail screen from the game after the two get into a fight and Thayla currently has Reika tied up somewhere. And hey, a game that was literally about Time Travel was probably the perfect start to a week where I tried to pretend it was the 90’s again anyway. ;D Because I sure as hell could use the escapism from… well everything.
