The Ice Is Getting Thicker || Jim & Anna
The first feeling of regret came with the wind, and remained like the chill in his spine; wedged deep in his bones.
God damn it. This place was freezing. Who wanted to live here?
He didn't even see any animals that had the fur thik enough to brace themselves. Did the people here just want to prove themselves as thick skinned? The thought was insane.
It was snowing, but JIm wondered what a degree of cold this was. Because from what he saw, through his squinted blue eyes; everything looked frozen over. Completely. It explained the amount of times he slipped on the surface. His damn boots didn't have enough grip. Nothing had enough grip for all this ice.
But Jim trecked on, and in his determination, he seemed to have landed something good. That was a person. Just a few feet away. From within this god damn freezing kingdom, he'd finally seen someone.
"Hey!" His throat strained against the walls of his neck as he called to the figure. Snow entered his mouth and disolved cold. "Hey, you!"
