#tihcfest

This is Hardcore was really fun.  I'm super glad I could make it out.  It was kind of lonely taking the trip alone and staying by myself but I got to hang out with some awesome people at the fest.  Making new friends isn't something that comes super easily to me.  I'm constantly second guessing myself, and assuming the worst of how people think of me.  But I guess that's one of the reasons DIY/Hardcore/Underground music and any type of music struck me in general.  I've always had trouble feeling comfortable in my own skin and being confident with who I am.  I don't like to annoy people.  At some points of the festival I looked around at certain groups and realized how popular certain people were in the scene.  It seemed like they knew and got along with everyone.  I guess some part of me was jealous of that.  As much as hardcore preaches unity, and finding a place among the other lost souls that found solace in this kind of music, I still felt like their were so many cliques and cool guys I can never imagine me being a part of or being friends with.
