Her dominance around the lake area and her striking arrow-shaped facial mark made her one of the most recognisable tigers of the park.

Born in 2014 to Krishna (T-19) and Star Male (T-28), Arrowhead’s journey was filled with grit. She challenged her own mother to claim territory, raised multiple litters, and ruled the waters of Rajbagh with quiet authority. Even as illness struck in her later years, her story continued to inspire both naturalists and visitors who had followed her life closely.

Her passing near Jogi Mahal marked the end of an era, but her impact remains deeply rooted in Ranthambore’s natural history. From iconic sightings to fierce territorial battles, Arrowhead shaped the park’s identity in ways few tigers have.

Ranthambore’s last safari season was a dramatic blend of breathtaking tiger moments and heartbreaking events that shook the wildlife community. While sightings began on a high note—featuring the iconic Arrowhead (T-84), her daughter Riddhi (T-124), and their thriving cubs—the season took a tragic turn as human-wildlife conflict escalated near Ranthambore Fort. The relocation of Kankati (T-125) after multiple fatal encounters, followed by the passing of Arrowhead due to cancer, marked a deeply emotional close to a once-celebrated lineage.

Yet, beyond this tragedy, the park remained alive with powerful stories of survival. Noor (T-39) continued to dominate Zones 1 and 6, Sultana (T-107) surprised visitors with tiny new cubs, and Shakti (T-111) added to Ranthambore’s future with her fresh litter. The male tigers—T-120, T-121, T-123 and Jai (T-108)—ensured thrilling encounters, controlling vast territories and shaping the park’s power dynamics.

As Ranthambore enters its new season, anticipation is high for upcoming litters from Noorie, Siddhi, T2307 and T-127. With shifting territories and emerging young adults, the landscape is set for another year of captivating tiger action.
