Tiger Saga first encounter.
so I just read TigerQuest translation Yesterday, freshly bought from the store, and finish the book in just 6 hours. I bought it because I like Fantasy novel, and I also like Tiger, and the catchphrase on the book kinda made me wanted to read more (forget Vampire, Tiger are so much cooler!) ah I should know better to never touch romance novel even if it have fantasy theme in it. the first book are very captivating, the romance part made me flutter, and the tiger bro description are very delicious. the plot also made me feel like Im reading Comic/manga, I can picture every scene on my head. I even tempted to make the fanart/ doujinshi of this book. its just so good. and made me want to read more. but before that I read a review of the sequel in goodreads, and DANGGIT! Im so disappointed... the sequels of the book are so... Twilight. I try to read it from e-book, and now completing almost half the book. and oooo my gooood. the romance are so sappy, the plot are very slow. the female protagonist are an airhead and a mary sue syndrome. and the half part of the novel are keep telling the story about the female protagonist romance, its feel like watching telenovella. so boring. so shallow. everyday there are kissing scene, hugging, touching, neck cheek waist everywhere, I feel like a pervert, are all romance novel like this??? a girl who are pampered with fortune, money, cars jewelry, and every handsome man is fighting over her, and make every other girl jelous as hell. I mean WHAT?? where is the adventure like in the first book? where is the story about legend, about new places and myth? I like it when fantasy and romance is balance... but this? now its only about sappy romance, stupid love triangle and only tiny winnie bit of adventure and instant villain with no depth. Im so disappointed, and its so sad becouse I adore the Tiger Bro.and the first book are so good and interesting.. I gues I just have to make in my mind that the Book are ended in first book and that's it. probably I wont touch any Romance novel for a long long time now. l learn my lesson.
