Thomas had never seen the beach before. His old pack had been out in the middle of nowhere, using the nearby river as their water source. And, even when he ran the occasional errand for Caleb, there had never been time to explore, time to see the sights. Now, having left the pack months ago, not much had changed in the way of that. He and Evie were constantly traveling, constantly working jobs and earning as much money as they could, and then they moved on. Sightseeing was low on their list of priorities; they were lucky to get the chance to run in their wolf forms. But his current construction job was on a bunch of condos right off the beach, and that meant the apartment he was renting wasn’t far from it, either. So instead of doing his evening run in the woods or even along the side of the road, he decided to do it on the beach. Toeing off his boots and socks, he took off at top speed - or, at least, what would appear to be top speed for a human, just in case - enjoying the feeling of the light wind whipping the spray of the water onto his face.
