Kanath loves his sisters, he really does, and he loves visiting them, Minn'da and Mim'da, however they really don't understand that he still needs to keep up with his studies!
The high ranking tidesages would always warn the young recruits of not following their studies and loosing their connection to the Tidemother. Now that he's grown, Kanath realistically, he knows that's just a warning, a fib to keep them in line, but it doesn't ease the fear of loosing her voice. The thought of never being able to listen to her whispers again haunts his mind constantly, even now as Kinndy's pale, almost cloudy eyes glimmer at him with mischief.
Kanath, of course, ignores his eldest sister and continues the prayer at the shore. Even in Quel'thalas the Tidemother's voice, despite it being quieter than it was in Kul'tiras, was comforting, the the crashing of waves and the soaring of wind that lovingly pierced his mind did so with an emotion Kanath couldn't quite decipher with Kinndy yelling for Lira's support to make him do whatever it was.
The sounds of the twinkling waves quieted for a moment before they came back, opening his scrunched eyes he could see the waves lap at his hand encouragingly, did she want him to join them? Kanath however couldn't see if she was going to give him something else due to Lira wrenching him up as if he weighed nothing. He could hear the smile in her voice as she exclaimed, “Come on, Nath! Come sing with us, I'm sure the Tidemother wouldn't mind you focusing on us for a while!”
He screeched and flailed in her arms, trying to break free, “Let me go! I'm going to bite you, don't think I won't!”
Lira and Kinndy, however, didn't seem to be phased by the threat, so he tries pleading with Kinndy instead.
“Kinnd, come on! You know what it's like! We could never pull you away from mom's tomes either!” but he simply deflated at her quiet, evil smirk, but of course not before giving a quick bite to Lira's arm.
Curse her for being the only one to get the tall gene, Kanath thought with a pout as the Tidemother's amused whispers played in his ears, giving him an amazing idea for revenge.
