also, obligatory crack!fic at the end, because I couldn't resist
"No."
"But ah d-didn't say anythin' yet-" this time Rabbit drew out the word in a sort of playful whine, bending over the chair The Spine was currently settled in, tilting over until his photo-receptors were in line with The Spine's own. When no answer seemed forthcoming, the copper 'bot grinned and crushed the silver automaton's last thread of hope that he would be left in peace.
"Wan-wanna play a game?"
A hiss of steam. "I'm sure Hatchworth would, why don't you ask him?"
"H-he's makin some sandwiches with Michael, com'on Th' Spine," Rabbit wheedled "Ahm borrrred. We can play hide 'n seek!" the 'bot chirped, finally leaning away from his position leaning on The Spine's head "It'll be fun." Apparently convinced of his persuasive capabilities, Rabbit took a step back, waiting expectantly for his chosen victim to rise from the chair.
"I'll pass." was the bland response, and the silver robot didn't even glance over as his brother popped up at his side sporting an exaggerate pout. Well, it wasn't like that was new.
When the copper automaton's pout morphed into a mischevious grin, The Spine allowed himself some suspicion, eying the suddenly cheerful 'bot. He almost succeeded in retaining his hat as his brother lunged forward, but the brim just slipped through his fingers as Rabbit all-but skipped away with a whirr of gears.
"Rabbit...." Setting down the newspaper he had been browsing through, The Spine rose to his feet, but the copper automaton just shook his head, grin still present "Nuh-nope, gotta find me first." And with that the 'bot was off and skidding around the doorless doorway in a way that almost made The Spine want to call after him to not be too reckless lest he give Michael more things to fix. Still, it was probably a good thing for Rabbit, the silver automaton having no intention of counting to any number before beginning his search.
With another huff that sent a plume of steam from his vents, The Spine set off.

"Wan-wanna play a game?"
A slight frown crossing his face, The Spine refocused on Rabbit as the 'bot  stood up with a rather maniacal grin. "S-Steve was showin' me some of his movies, an' there was this one..."
It was with a sense of foreboding that The Spine stood, eying his brother warily as the other automaton fiddled with something on his arm. Wait...his saw was...engaged?
