So when I saw the spoilers about the kidnapping, I sort of rolled my eyes.... cause, not again! Kusa has done this sooooooooo many times that even I, as an avid akayona fan, am tired of it. Like, I can't defend you anymore if you keep doing this sensei lol. BUT having just read the chapter, OMG. I'm back on board. I have your back sensei and I'm so sorry I doubted you.
Seriously, I think there is something to be said about cycles that keep repeating in our lives. And I love that she used powerlessness as a cyclical motif that kept recurring until it was finally broken.
The ending of the chapter, and the little side notes in the last page are - chef's kiss -. Yona is no longer someone that needs to be protected. It's been a long time since she stopped being that... I just - ππππ
