Through with Chew Week
This week marks a new beginning for Just for Us’ social media presence. Elsa, a member of our Youth Advisory Board at Tri-City Health Center in Fremont, has volunteered to take on the task of being our new social media manager. Today, she shares a personal message about one way that tobacco has impacted her life:
“Hey guys! February 14-20 this year marks "Through with Chew Week," a week when people share stories about their experience with tobacco, especially smokeless tobacco. In my family, both of my grandpas have experience with tobacco and its usage. One of my grandpas chews tobacco, and the other one smokes bidis, which are small, thin, hand-rolled cigarettes found mainly in Southeast Asian countries. While both of my grandpas are still alive, they aren't as healthy and strong as they used to be. Here’s where you can go to find out more about smokeless tobacco.”
