Resolution doesn’t mean everything has to be tied up neatly with a bow when you’ve run out of words. Sometimes, we’re left with messes and more questions are raised than answered.

My best advice to you is to look at the conflicts in your stories and your characters’ actions. From there, think of the consequences. These can be positive and negative, expected and unintended results of their choices. Write those down. How do they fit into your story arch? Do they make sense? Who do they impact? From there. Are there any secondary effects? Who do they impact? Think of it like a bomb blast where there’s an impact (primary) and a shockwave (secondary) felt moments after. Characters may not be directly involved, but may have to live with the consequences of other character’s (in)actions.
