talk farmer to me ✿ yuma
Voices... he loved them. Clear loved hearing people speak.
Eager to learn, eager to absorb, eager to digest - the information that came from one's spoken word was amazing to him. Speaking, singing, anything of the sort was of the utmost interest to this robot... especially the latter. Humans were very interesting in their dialect. Very interesting in general, too! Amazing, it was, to discover that based on where someone lived or how they were raised could determine their intonation and word choice. Had it made an impact on his life growing up with Grandfather? He couldn't be sure, and that only made the experience of listening that much more exciting!
And this place in particular was filled to the brim with new and interesting people. Humans who were tall, humans who were small.... humans who weren't even humans at all! Most would be overwhelmed by the stimuli, but Clear was of course not like most. That much was inherently obvious the moment he approached anyone... something that would probably not go so unnoticed by who would become victim of his curiosity next.
Today, his explorations found him outside near the fountains. It was mostly deserted -- if he remembered human life correctly, most liked to stay in on Sundays -- save for one rather... large person. Oh! He was extremely tall and broad shouldered; Clear couldn't help but be reminded of one of Master's friends who was similarly large. A pity he couldn't remember his name, old acquaintances like a distant memory... ah. That's right -- he had hoped to look for Master while here. It bothered him to be separated from--
Hmm?
It seemed the large man was muttering to himself. A normal person would not be able to hear from such a distance, but with Clear's keen senses his voice was easily detected. Such rough language! It was like nothing he had ever heard before from the people of the city... closer and closer Clear moved until he was eventually just behind him. From what he could see he was crouched down speaking... to the flowers? Whereas most would find this strange, Clear only found it more compelling. Could he talk to them? Maybe he had some kind of special plant speaking powers! The possibilities were truly endless; a normal person, in this moment, would make himself known in a calm and unsurprising manner.
Sadly, Clear was not normal.
"Excuse me~! ✿" He said a little too loudly. "Hi! Can they understand you?" They being the flowers, of course, the sentiment paired with a very earnest smile. He truly believed this was the case -- try to be gentle.
"I wish I could talk to plants, too. ✿"
