'Chotirani' There is nothing unusual about Chotirani, but she still demands attention and that's why she is special. Chotirani was one of my finds in Srirampur, I found her at the bottom of a pile of old fabric swatches that the artist I was working with had under his bed. When I asked him if he would be willing to bring her back to life with a few changes he said - ' ' 'Sirji , fashion Mei nahi hai, aap pagal hai Kya?' I couldn't help but smile, maybe I am mad but I had to bring Mohi back to life. Convincing Balramji ( the artist ) was a bit of a challenge but finally he gave in. We made some changes and finally Chotirani became mine. She reminds me of a saree that my grandmother owned and the changes I made to it was to make it look as close as possible to that piece.
