He was about to close the shop up - literally on his feet to go flip the sign on the door - when the bell jingled. He sat back down with a small sigh, leaning his chin on his hand as the other tapped an impatient rhythm on the counter. But then Emmeline came around the corner and his shoulders relaxed once more. “Flip the sign before anyone can follow you in, will you?” He called softly, before slumping forward completely and laying his head on his arms where they were crossed on the counter with a small groan. “Remind me why I wanted my own shop again?” The muffled question came from beneath the folds of his cloak as he heard her footsteps return.
