Stephen walked into the photography shop with purpose, intending on finding the man in charge and launching into the proposal he’d already given to half a dozen other folks in this town. He was only here on business, and business was what he’d get. And there were a lot of similarities about this store compared to the other shops—stark black & white accents, expensive picture frames, and arguably beautiful lighting in the stores interior to showcase work presumably done by or with the studio.
But the man at the back of the shop seemed different. He wasn’t some young buck fresh out of university—Stephen got the immediate impression that this could even be the owner’s father-in-law or something who just ran the finances, but… Nonetheless, he sidled up to approached the metaphorical bench.
“Evening,” Stephen said briskly, slinging his smart, black bag off one shoulder and looping it around to his front—not dissimilar to what one might do with a camera bag.
