JDâs eyes skirted over his hair in one of the mirrors just outside Headmistress Coulterâs office, making sure it was presentable.
âYour collar,â Ferro chided him mentally from within her satchel. Right. He couldnât have his collar popped in front of an adult, right? Heâd get marked down as disobedient already. He didnât care whether or not the adults liked him, but if his dad caught wind of him causing trouble, heâd just look for somewhere in the next town over to move toâagain. JD grumbled softly, very quiet, and fixed it, before walking up to the Headmistressâ door and knocking.
Ferrvaine noted that the coast was clear before she crawled out from her satchel, up JDâs arm, and sat just behind his neck on his shoulder. So that JD could introduce her, of course. Tarantula daemons, even one so uncommon as Ferroâs cobalt self, made a lot of professors at his previous schoolsâŚnervous, visibly, but there wasnât much they could do to help with that, aside from hiding her away.
Sheâd settled that way, recently, after all.
âYou wanted to see me, maâam?â he asked softly as he pushed open the heavy, dark wooden door when prompted.
