“so what’s the deal with this?” like the asshole he is, he gestures to shiloh’s face. an indication for his general demeanor, of course, but why would he say that when he could instead be an idiot? “do you ever experience emotions?”

“so no dudes at all?” it wasn’t a concept james could wrap his head around. he had been so sure he had nate’s vibe exactly, and that vibe was not strictly heterosexual. the fact he had been not only just wrong, but actively misreading nate’s signals as flirting? the humiliation of it all. at least it was a compliment to nate, he supposed. “well. then the past week was embarrassing of me, huh?”

"s, i’m bored.” james ignored the throbbing in his wrist, quite used to the injuries from sparring. it was summer’s bad luck that she had to deal with it more often than not, but her brand of judgment was so much easier to stomach than some of the other medical track folks. “isn’t your whole thing speedy healing? can’t you just,” he paused, snapping with his good hand. “fix it?”
