Alecto was reeling.

The logical part of her brain, of course, told her that Amycus having relationships outside her and who she knew wasn’t worth causing a scene, but the illogical part overtook her brain and was just angry. How could he not tell her someone new, someone important, was now in his life? He’d had plenty of opportunity at home, when they went out to ice cream, before or after meetings--more than enough time to go right out and say I met someone. But no, she had to find out from a forced afternoon of tea with Amelia Bones, which turned into a stand-off that was mostly instigated  by herself. 

For good reason, if anyone asked her.

Not to mention the fact that, despite what Amelia might have thought, the woman definitely fancied her brother, and wasn’t that confusing to think about? Did Amycus fancy her back? He wouldn’t talk to her, so Alecto decided to confront her brother the one place she knew she could find him: work. Perhaps unluckily for him, she found him in the middle of the Ministry atrium, and hurt and rage filled her one again as she shouted for the whole of the atrium to hear, “Amycus Cyrus Carrow, you have some explaining to do.”
