Frankly, it was disgusting. Stretching out as far as he could see was an expanse of water, if it even could be deemed water. What should be relatively clear liquid seemed to be filled with an unmentionable sludge, and even being close to it made the elf feel somewhat nauseous. From what he could gather, that large building across from him seemed to be the problem. To think, there he was believing that the docks back in Kirkwall were foul enough...
Shaking his head, Fenris went to continue on his way, barely casting another glance out at the expanse. Except no sooner as he had taken a step to move away, did he find himself treading in something unimaginable.
Ah. This was likely what he got for still continually not wearing shoes...
Going to lift his foot, checking what it was, the elf lost his balance far too quickly. A foolish mistake given how close he was still standing to the festering lake. Eyes widening, he went to grasp anything that may keep him from slipping- an instinctive response if anything. Realising there was nothing and no one quite close enough for him to grasp, he cast a look around, barely catching a glimpse of a few others wandering nearby.
Whether or not someone would come to his aid however, was another matter entirely.
