It was a sound unlike anything the elf had heard before. Perhaps slightly akin to some of the monsters he’d faced in the past, or maybe another warrior’s warped battle cry, but he couldn’t be entirely sure. Whatever it was, it was currently too far away, too indistinct. Regardless, he found the sound rather unnerving, and given how the streets of Sector four had emptied as night had drawn in, Fenris could only help but feel a sense of worry. He knew all too well that it could be a sign of impending disaster.
So instead of continuing on, he took to the shadows, stepping into a side alley to give him a chance to analyse his surroundings, and figure out what was happening. Except as he did so another growl shook the air, this time far closer to his current position. With a frown furrowing his brow, he sunk back further into the alley, a hand reaching back to draw his weapon. Simultaneously casting green eyes around, as if searching for possible exits and threats, he soon caught sight of another male standing nearby. For a moment or two he was taken aback by his peculiar hair colour and rather decent attire.
Finally shaking his head, the elf narrowed his eyes at the stranger, deciding that it would be best to reach out and question if he knew what was going on. After all, he saw no others around, and perhaps it would be foolish to continue on without a clue. So risking reaching out, he kept his voice hushed, as to not draw more attention than what was needed.
“A strange situation. Tell me, do you know what is causing this noise?”
