He liked to wander.

He liked to spend his days exploring what the world had to offer.

And as a cute little feline, “Jo” had every opportunity to loiter, trespass and jump around where a human couldn’t (at least without it looking a little funny).

So when he wandered onto what was making out to be a crime scene, he wasn’t exactly noticed. 

‘A girl…? Being…. Chased? Hunted?‘

Well, the situation didn’t look very good for this stranger.

The assailant looked like they had guns on hand. Was that legal in this country? He was in Japan, right? 

Definitely not legal.

As an officer of the law, he really should help. 

He wanted to do good, even if it wasn’t technically his jurisdiction, and even if his  job wasn’t actually about keeping the people safe. He wanted a better name for the STPD, one that didn’t spell “Stupid” to boot, and a reputation that wasn’t surrounded in fear. 

So casually, upon this sketchy scene, wanders a cute little black cat, who meows in the face of danger, looking like he was going to protect this girl.

Gun in hand, the assailant lifts his arm.

“End of the line for you, prin-- what the fuck is this cat doing here?”

The man looks down, talking out loud, distracted for a second. 

‘Guns aren’t good… but you shouldn’t bring an axe to a gunfight, right?’

The cat, out of it’s back, grows an arm, and points it to the strange man.
