Provisions was a one stop, get all your basic necessities establishment because it had to be. Most of the other shops in town were built and utilized to feed the soul with a sense of normalcy, but Provisions had the necessities for the body. She always gave the new people at least a month or so to settle in before she came around to tug at the threads of their stories. Marshall had received a little more time than most, given her brother going missing and her heart being a torrent of rage and sorrow and guilt. Offering herself as a friendly face to the newcomers had fallen to the wayside.
Now though, she eyed a can of green beans while her peripheral vision kept an eye on the way he pushed his cart down the aisle. She liked to wait till it was natural. Her moment came when he accidentally sent two cans of soup tumbling to the linoleum floor. Willow moved swiftly to capture one of the wayward cans, smiling as she approached the male. “What did clam chowder ever do to you, huh?” she asked teasingly, arm raising to return the can to its place on the shelf.
