It wasn’t often that Taylor woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and brought that energy into the work atmosphere. It wasn’t often that he let his emotions ruin his day from the moment he awoke, but today was different. From the moment he stepped into the office, the man headed straight to his private office, with sunglasses on his face and a baseball cap on his head completely taking away the business prospect of wearing the suit away, the man dropped his jacket and brief case on the couch in the corner. Sitting at the desk, he took a deep breath before looking at the planned schedule he made yesterday of what it was he had to get done today. Another long day. At the idea, the man rolled his eyes, turning to the phone to page his assistant whom he blatantly ignored when entering the room. “Greenleigh, come please.” He spoke into the phone, removing his glasses off of his head.

As the girl entered the room, he sat back in the chair, scratching at his damp hair under his hat before adjusting the way it sat on his head. “I know this is out of what I usually request of you, but as you can see it’s been a long day already and it’s just started. What I need is for you to pick up my dry cleaning. I have two suits that I really need and I won’t be able to get it later this week. Neither will you. I also need you to fax these papers. They’re very important and personal,” He warned. They were papers for his lawyer, finalizing the pay and giving Taylor confirmation of everything he has gotten in the divorce settlement. Which was a lot due to his ex wife being the one who cheated. “Finally, there’s a few calls I need you to make on my behalf just to confirm some business decisions. Everything else, I’ll send to your email with instructions on what to do. I really can’t be bothered so don’t patch any calls through to me, no matter what. Got it?”

Grabbing the brunette by the waist, Taylor picked the petite woman up in his arms playfully pulling her along towards his home. With a chuckle, the man would mutter with wide eyes of pure amusement, “You wanted to see my place, and now that I’m finally asking for help, there’s no turning back!” He said with pursed lips.

The last few months have been beyond hard for Taylor. He was currently in the process of moving into his new home, and had finalized the divorce with his ex wife just last week. He couldn’t think life would get any harder yet being the C.E.O of a booming business only added stress to his life. Stress he currently didn’t need. Sat in his office on the 7th floor of his corporation building, Taylor sat in his chair behind his desk though he faced the ceiling to floor window. A deep breath leaving his lips, with his coffee in one hand and phone in the other, he spoke to his business partner, his boss. He was currently being told about a mandatory meeting Taylor has to attend and to Taylor’s dismay, he needed a date.

All this did was make Taylor think about his ex wife. About himself. Yes, for the last year or so since receiving this position, Taylor has been so caught up in work, so caught up in providing a life for his ex wife and him to settle down comfortably and start making a family. She didn’t have that same plan. It was unfortunate for Taylor, the woman he had been with for the past six years, the woman he mustered up and proposed to and married no longer in his life. She just wasn’t satisfied with his busy schedule, and found happiness with someone else, someone she promised Taylor to never worry about. When a friend sent Taylor pictures, their marriage went downhill, the man too betrayed to even think about forgiveness.

With a sigh the man turned and hung up the phone. The conversation over, and Taylor relieved. Groaning as he placed his coffee down on his desk and placed his hands on his face before slowly moving them to run through his hair, before his hands went to the phone, paging his assistant, “Leigh, get in here!” He shouted. He currently had to work until six and then head to this event, an event he didn’t even want to attend.
