slight paranoia itched at the back of his mind as he glances every so often over his shoulder, walking down the outside dormitory. just in case. he’d mull over on how his first day would go, yet thinking back on prior experiences, there has been surprises where he never thought a day would proceed as it had when he woke up at the brink of dawn that morning.
‘i just need to put my belongings away, put on the academy uniform, and pray i don’t get jumped on by an eccentric person, be it a total stranger or mae.’ ...and he much preferred one over the other.

peeking around the stone pillars around the perimeter of the courtyard, he spots a few students in uniform walking or standing around in small groups, a low hum of chatting or rackety laughter early in the morning. using only his eyes, they scan over the area from where he stiffly stood under the stone archway, briefly going past every face and striking hair color.
she was not in sight anywhere nor any of the other familiar faces he had once known. as far as he could see, anyway—he quickly glances back over his shoulder just in case of an unforeseen sneak attack. the sighs softly, worry etching upon his face.

... where are they, anyway? with another quiet, short breath of a sigh, “good grief. pray the gods i didn’t unintentionally leave her being an emotional mess.” continuing to walk around the permeter on the hard walkways toward the middle classroom, he slowly walks in and squints in the blue lions’ lecture hall, his vision being blotchy with floating colors due to the sudden change from bright outside to a dimly lit area. clearing, he whips his eyes back and forth between both sides and walks further in, having expected anyone from his home country to at least be here for the morning lectures.
