he'd seen the woman around town quite a few times, even messed with her a little bit when she walked by his shop and today was no different. ulysses was standing outside, taking a break in between clients and taking a hit of his vape pen. a smile appeared on his face as he noticed her, "when are you going to come in and let me show you what i can do?" he asked, one arm crossed over his chest. "can promise you my work isn't disappointing. tell me, do you even have any? tattoos, i mean. i think everyone should have one but you know, that's just me talking business."

the man didn't know whether to laugh or cry. who would have done this? who would have egged his shop? "can you believe this shit?" he asked, his head hanging down as he motioned toward the sight in front of the two. he only had an hour before opening and he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to clean all of this up before his first client. "what the hell am i supposed to do? this is some childish bullshit, man."

making his way to the diner was part of his routine after he finished up at the shop, mostly because it was open for twenty four hours and it gave him somewhere to unwind before he went home for the evening. not only that, but it gave him time to get his sketches ready for the next day. looking up as he heard foot steps, he gave his neighbor a small smile. "hey, man," he started, pulling some stuff toward him as if to make some room, "you want to join me or are you in a rush?"

the man leaned back in his chair, cocking an eyebrow. "you're serious right now, aren't you?" ulysses couldn't believe that the man genuinely wanted the tattoo he'd just showed him on his phone. "man, i'm all for the money but just so you know, which i hope that you're already aware - tattoos are permanent." he'd done his fair share of ridiculous tattoos, especially when he'd been an apprentice back in LA but he just wanted to make sure the guy was being serious.
