despite how much pain the other had been through the night of his accident at work, he never failed to take in the people that helped him. he wanted to make sure that he thanked them, especially when it came to getting back onto his feet. one person in particular was the trauma surgeon and while he was definitely planning on thanking her, he was also planning on seeing if she might want to join him for dinner. he was waiting outside of the hospital after one of his check up appointments when he noticed her finally walk out. "hey," he started, slowly making his way toward the woman, "i know you haven't seen me in a while and you probably don't remember me but i'm back on my feet." he announced, offering her a smile as a he did so.

Unaware whether this was a dream or actually happening, Nick lifted his gaze to the beautiful dark hues which always managed to make his heart skip a beat. 

How was she here? Why was she here? Did she know what DAMNATION felt like? Would she save him from it? 

Too many questions bombarded his mind and the warlock pushed them back purposely, forcing his most charming smile in place. 

“Hello, Sabrina.” 

Nick followed her movements closely, feeling very much like she was the vulture circling his dying body before its final attack with the way she spoke. His brow creased momentarily as she continued to speak, filling his mind with doubts which hadn’t been there before. Maybe, in hindsight, there were some matters he could have approached differently, but that wasn’t what he’d been getting at. What he had meant was that for Sabrina, he would do anything. All he had done already and more.
