she let out a sigh, shaking her head at the other that stood in front of her. "i don't get what your problem is," chloe started. the last thing she wanted was to upset him but he'd made it clear that he didn't want to be the one that joined her tonight. "i asked you and you said no and so, i brought someone else and suddenly there's something wrong with that. how's that fair to me?"

“It’s not bullshit Lip, I can’t stand another second around them so just give me an answer before I assume one for you.” Chloe stated, practically begging and dropping to her knees in her mind, while on the outside she simply crossed her arms. 

she giggled along to what they said. they were joking, right? no one ever actually asked her out. the seriousness of their offer was expressed on their face and now she suddenly felt bad for assuming they had alternative plans. chloe tucked her hair behind her ear shyly and pursed her lips, "oh," she cleared her throat, "i didn't know you were being serious. i'm sorry...." she trailed off. god, she must've seemed like the worst kind of person, "but! i'd love to go out some time, if you really want to..."

chloe had no idea what the other saw in her, especially considering how different the two of them were. and even with that being said, he never made to make her feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. she slipped behind him in the kitchen, her arms coming around his waist and her cheek pressed against her back. "are you coming back to bed soon?" she asked softly, relaxing against him slightly. she always found comfort in his presence. after all, why wouldn't she? "it's getting cold in there without you."

“Listen,” Chloe whispered into the phone, so her boyfriend sleeping next to her wouldn’t hear. “I know we don’t have a set schedule but could we really save this for the later? It’s like almost 2 a.m. and i can’t driving over there without getting caught.”
