John smiled, looking almost cold, then he frowned. He smiled again, that same ice-tinged smile. “Sorry, are you trying to be funny?”

WHERE: horseshoe acre WHEN: monday night WITH @johndoesmith
Bez didn’t waste a moment standing outside the property before heading in, careful to secure the place just in case anything was going to fall on their head. They weren’t trespassing… at least, they could say they weren’t, say that something had caught their eye driving past, and now they were shining their flashlight around. They were scared, but on the other hand: they really wanted to see a ghost.
They almost dropped their flashlight when a shadow moved about the main ranch building.
@seattlites John & Pippa
“Why is it that on my first day I seem to be hearing second hand stories about one of our lawyers needing to bail out another one our lawyers on assault chargers?” Never one for boundaries Pippa found herself walking into John’s office with a file in hand pausing only when she made it in front of her desk. “Hi, I’m Pippa Martinez your new head of HR and an explanation would be really helpful right now.”
Getting her bearings while monumentally hungover was one of the most difficult things that she ever had to do. She was popping aspirin like it was Pez, gulping down water and watching the clock like a hawk, waiting for her day to be over so she could sleep this off and start anew. It was only 9:30am and Veronica groaned softly.
She normally knew better than this. It was a new job, she was supposed to go out for one drink to celebrate with her friends and then go home but no. Of course there had to be a guy, there was always a guy. Him with his big, brown bambi eyes and fluffy hair. They had spoken for hours, drinking, dancing, talking. Veronica liked him, even remembered his name and she had left him with an empty bed and a note apologizing for rushing off. She hadn’t even left her number.
Sighing, she cradled her head, sitting in her appropriate dress, carefully applied make up, doused in so much perfume that she smelled like a botanical garden. Luckily her new boss was also late so she had a moment to gather herself. So far she had only spoken to HR and they had just said for her to wait for her boss for instructions. Running a hand through her hair again, she looked at the clock. 9:32am.
It was going to be a long day.
