(Pet eventually gains more independence and slowly begins to think of himself as Cato instead of Pet though he never fully breaks away from the life-long conditioning. He begins calling both Dius and Siska by name in stead of Master and stays with them the rest of his life. He’s truly happy, foremost, and that’s all that he’s ever wanted. @turianspeedjunkie adds: Siska and Dius stays together, and while a turbulent relationship, they solve problems as they come. They keep working as mercenaries, living on Osprey until they realize they're growing slow. Having managed to earn enough to settle down, they pick a planet where both them, and Cato, can thrive.

Mav continues to recover on Palaven, he heals physically and sees a therapist bi-monthly for PTSD. He never returns to the Blackwatch but that’s fine. At first, every few weeks to few months, Velox visits him. They get closer and closer but are still taking the relationship slow. Mav feels too many things too intensely, including love and while Velox feels the same for him, he’s more comfortable taking things as slow as possible for both their sake. All in all, what they’ve got is good and it stays good.)
