Whenever there was a sudden knock on her door, Otto couldn’t stop herself from jumping and nearly exiting out of the computer program she was currently working with. It wasn’t that she never received company at her apartment, but just more or less how many of her close friends had a key and an open door policy to her home. This wasn’t someone that she was close with, and quite frankly, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to answer the door. It very well could have been one of her neighbors pounding on her door to complain about the loud music that was playing late last night, and Otto really was not prepared to explain that was simply how she had gotten herself in the mindset to edit two YouTube videos that she was putting out later in the week. However, once the second round of knocking was slamming against her door, Otto’s interest was piqued enough to get her off her tail and over to the door.
Nothing could have prepared her for who she saw - Candy Motta.
“Candy!” Otto exclaimed with a wide smile, trying to think about on how long it had been since she had last seen her. She was sure she had seen her at a couple parties after graduation, but other than that, she was drawing a blank. The girl had always had big dreams, so perhaps she had been out living them. “You’re in New York? How did I miss that?” She asked with a friendly smile as her eyes followed down Candy’s body and clocked the baggage that she had in tow with her. It was weird, definitely, but so was Candy’s antics most times. Regardless, she opened her door wider as an invitation. “Come in! I just made a pot of coffee if you want some?” @candymotta
