Lomórë offered Arwen a glimpse into a world entirely unknown to her. Her father was a scholar and many formidable scholars resided in Imladris. Arwen had the luxury of being surrounded by wisdom and receiving it from elvendom's greatest minds this side of the sea.
Elrond also had the largest collection of lore and records in Middle-earth. He had granted Lomórë permission to peruse the collection. Perhaps her father was just as curious? After Lomórë's arrival Arwen had looked for information about the Voidsinger but found very little. Merely the gist of their goal to find an end to eternity.
But those who knew about Lomórë's beliefs at all, Glorfindel for example, eyed the elf with suspicion and contempt. Elrond was more inclined to give Lomórë the benefit of the doubt. He had told Arwen that being surrounded by fellow elves would hopefully have an effect on Lomórë and help him to connect with others again, after being led astray.
"You misunderstand, mellon." Since he had declined to take her hand Arwen took the liberty of taking his hand into hers anyway. "I'm merely curious." She gently coaxed him along to follow her into a leisurely stroll, their hands still entwined. "It's no secret that my love is a mortal Man. Where do you think will this lead me? To the end, as far as I can forsee. A definite end, for him and me, for I shall not suffer an eternity without him. I have accepted that already. Though I don't wish this on all our elven kin, I understand you better than most."
