Music fragment nr5: Thrangh: Sagapa
Thrangh
I’m listening to Erzefilisch, the second album by Italian progressive band Thrangh, a quartet comprised of Fabrizio Colelli, Tommaso Moretti, Alessandro Bonanni and Gabriele Mengoli.
A very diverse mix of different sounds, sometimes sewn together without an apparent logic: the word that comes to mind is “congerie”.
It’s not the kind of music that can be easily appreciated at a first glance: I’ll probably have to listen to the album a couple of times again.
But the title track, a 15 minute long cavalcade of “cultural delirium“, “a metamorphic amalgam of sounds“, is really something.
