about asking a girl out from work.

Mature me knows it isn't a prime time to date anyone but at the same time stuff like this has intruded my thoughts too often and it's becoming a problem.

Am I contemplating a selfish decision? Wasting someone else's time and interest?

At first I thought so, but really I figure the possibility of finding a good match is there like always and I could always end things before getting serious (just to get this want to go out with someone out of my system) and of course I'd consider her feelings should I go for this... hell, I could gain a friend so... why not?

The answers as to "why not" become all more difficult as time passes lol

While im at work, all I can think of is first world problems. People march through the doors as if they are on a divine quest. Now, I understand I work in a service industry, but I feel as if sometimes the gratitude towards that industry has changed.People used to be very thankful for services provided. They'd say thank you, shake your hand. They'd even learn your name. However over the past few years I feel as if though people have become so disconnected from one another. I hate to use technology as a reasoning for this, mostly because I am a big advocate of it. I think it really connects people, on a different level of course. But now instead of having a conversation with someone at the front till, Im usually having a whispering contest with their hand as they proceed to talk on their phone. 

Bringing this all back to first world problems. When I have these customers with cellphones and tablets in hand, clinging to the latest handbags complain to me about minor details behind their drinks, all I can wonder is how they get off to being so over privileged. 

 "Can I have an extra hot one pump decafe fuck off eggnog latte?" No. You can not. We are done with eggnog because its January now, so Christmas is over. You can have a glass of clean drinking water though! - Is what a conversations goes like in my head

It's as simple as this folks. Be gracious! Enjoy the options you have in a first world country! Use your manners! Please, Thank you, have a good day. Easy as ballllllllls. Get off your phone, and TRY to be a part of society. I know sometimes its not easy. But to the people who feel belittled working behind a counter, it will mean the world to them.
