Is that in songs people make it sound like being a “shoulder to cry on” is like so boring and an insult instead of being their lover or something. Let me learn you a thing. I would much rather be someone’s shoulder to cry on then their lover. A shoulder to cry on is someone you trust, and love, whether it be romantic or a friendship love, they do love you and trust you. You’ve seen them at their worst, comforted them, and been there for them. What does that sound like? Something a lover would do. And for me, if I can come to you and vent, yell, scream, or cry, you my friend, have earned my trust. Something that is more important to me than my love. Because I can say I love you and lie to you about it, but my yelling and venting and crying to you? That’s worth more than my love.
