There is a time-- After crying, And before learning To breathe again Where there is still Droplets on your lashes And a storm behind your eyes When you have to decide If you're more than the rain.

She woke up from a dream where she had kissed a boy she hated and it made her hate herself even more. She hated him because she always had, and she was already in love with someone else. Crawling out from under her blankets, she began pulling on her clothes despite the early hour. She needed to get of her bare skin, and focus on hating. At school there were too many people and not enough brains between them. And so she kept her head down until lunch. Someone yelled her name across the Cafeteria. "Cat!" for some reason she searched the crowd frantically. The boy she hated was laughing. He was in her next class. "Hey you," she demanded, "Did you shout at me?" "Yeah. I didn't know it was you." He complimented how she looked, the wig she wore for Halloween. She narrowed her eyes, thanked him, turned back toward the front of the room and hit her head against the desk to remember that she hated him. It didn't stop the dreams.
So yeah...have some poetry I guess.
Waiting for Dusk
She drank coffee Paler than her skin, And her red hair stood In tufts every morning When the sun came.
She walked sockless To the tree that grew As she had, thin and Strong and in all The wrong directions.
She wrote on her hand In unreadable script And played pool alone When there were no Books to read.
And there was a boy That she met at dusk, And his eyes were The sun, just as hers Were the stars.
They went for walks With the sky between Their glances, kissed With hurt lips, and talked Of what once frightened them.
Barefoot
Tonight I went out in the rain. I've been thinking about rain, to me it's like a reminder. Of adrenaline, fear when driving in it and ecstasy when kissing in it. Of cleansing. Of miracles. And how people always say they love the rain; listening to it, dancing in it, the scents it brings, how it makes flowers grow. But tonight...as I was scribbling notes in the margin of a book, I didn't go out in a the rain. There were bumps on my skin from the wind carrying it through my open window, and I could hear the drops falling. And it reminded me. Someone I loved had said they wanted rain. I went back to scribbling. And I forgot, but only for a moment.

Another song I'm a little obsessed with. -Cable Car by the Fray- or just Over my head you know whatever
Cravings
Sometimes...at night...I get these sort of cravings. Longings, I guess. Not bad, not by any means harmful. Just odd. If I sat down to think about it, I might decide I'm crazy. But when I feel them, I don't want to think. I just want to look. Sometimes I feel like baking something sweet, sometimes I want to take a walk, find a tree somewhere that I can climb so high I'd get stardust in my hair. Sometimes I just don't want to be alone. This time, you know what I did? I found a little plastic container of bubble solution while I was looking for my chapstick. Simple, isn't it? I just laid back on my pillows and started blowing bubbles at midnight.
-Whistle for the Choir by the Fratelli's-
Yup, probably one of my favorite songs right now. Very important to me.
