mainstream political dynamics regarding family and reproduction are really troubling and it's hard to see a way out of it. the conservative political position is to breed as much as possible and make their children just like them. the progressive opinion is (rightly) that the family is a way of enabling control of women and of children. so as left-wing politics become more mainstream, the balance of people reproducing shifts more and more to the right, meaning that future generations will be more and more conservative. it's not like we on the left could adopt their strategy, because it's wrong, so we can kind of only spread our beliefs by convincing reasonable adults that we're right. so it is always going to be an uphill battle and idkkkk its easy to get very pessimistic

Frank's "office" looks like an insane person lives there. It's got the whole nine yards of papers pinned to the walls and red threads connecting them, and also orange thread because he ran out of red and the craft store didn't have any more.
He's erratic and absolutely overflowing with the joy of having someone there with him, someone who he can tell everything to because no one upstairs listens to him. His wife has long divorced him. She also thinks he's insane. The department thinks he's gone off the deep end since his divorce, and the rumours that he sleeps in his office are definitely true.
For all intents and purposes, he's exactly what Robby warned her about... and yet, Mel sits and she listens and she goes into the field with him, and very very strange things happen, to the point where she can't deny he's onto something.

On one hand, not using the word "lesbian" feels like ceding ground. I should be able to use it and have people understand what I mean.

I kinda just want to talk into the void but advice and thoughts are also welcome ok? ok. so recently my joints, mostly the ones on my legs (hip and knee mostly), have been hurting more than usual. Im not being abnormally active or inactive or eating different or anything like that. When I think about it, I realize that I’ve had issues with my knees randomly hurting to walk on all throughout middle school. I ignored it cause it would stop by the time I got home. What sparked this train of thought is at summer camp, I injured myself and was on a crutch for a day. That was the easiest I’ve walked in a while, except for the crutch digging into my armpit but. it’s gonna do that. So this has me thinking that a mobility aid like a cane or a better crutch would help my quality of life. But I don’t know if im “disabled enough” or even disabled at all to need one. I haven’t been to the doctor in a long while, and if I tell my parents they’ll probably say im too young for that and oh real pain is their back pain yada yada. Also im in theater so idk how it would affect that. So like yeah thoughts?
