so 1) ur writing is gorgeous xoxo and 2) she's a lot sterner than i usually see, or would portray myself. u stated this urself too that she comes across as p stern and i rly like that ! its v particular to ur portrayal and u carry that through in all ur posts, this seriousness but also life? she feels more human to me than most byleths, where her seriousness is more than just a lack of emotion but rather a lot of it. if i had to say it simply: she feels warm to me, in a comforting, motherly way.

so 1) im squealing ? this is absolutely an honor to receive this from u tbh because i admire tf out of ur bloggo and your dorothea ;u; 2) wow ! tbh i had no idea? and it’s really freakin’ touching that you see the distinction from others? i’m really happy you like that she comes across stern. it’s just something that came naturally tbh? i wasn’t setting out purposely to portray her in that way BUT i love it because she’s so different from my other muse, it’s pretty refreshing tbh. gawd, i was, however, so intent on trying to distinguish that lack of emotion vs having a lot of it. and she freakin does. the numbness/lack of emotion/trouble expressing them is a trauma thing too. i’m working on an hc for it but i digress! i’m so glad my portrayal comes across in the ways you mentioned and that you were able to see it! she’ll do anything to keep her students safe ;u;

“Can I help you?” The reply was curt, not unfriendly per se, but certainly not inviting either. The Garreg Mach student was known for being rather difficult to approach. Squall was quiet, always sitting in the back of the class and answering questions only when called upon. He didn’t make any effort to make friends either. ❛ oh, dorothea ! did you come out to get some air, too ? ❜ although feasts were mostly a fun occasion, with lots of delicious food to try, they could be pretty exhausting, too. there was a lot of etiquette involved in these things, and ashe’s head hurt sometimes trying to remember all the rules and principles nobles followed.
❛ to be honest, i was a little overwhelmed. i’m still trying to learn how to blend in with all these nobles. ❜
although he and dorothea are in separate houses, he knew that she and him had similar backgrounds. both of them had lived on the street, in a cold, unforgiving environment that was difficult to survive in. he doesn’t want to overstep, but he has to voice this invisible connection he feels between them.
