"Oh, don't give me that look." She huffs tiredly. Nancy doesn't know what's worse: that she had willingly let a killer inside her house, or that she already feels comfortable enough to scold him like a misbehaving child.
The ends justify the means.
Was a mantra she kept repeating to herself since her little predicament started. She obviously couldn't get rid of Freddy on her own. That was a lesson she learned the hard way. So, she had to fight fire with fire. Defeat a supernatural slasher with another supernatural slasher. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that jazz.
Besides, she had always been a woman that liked to use whatever resources she had available to her. The Shape of Haddonfield was simply another resource at her disposal.

After heaving out a breath, she sits up in her bed. "I finally have some good news to share." She holds up a raggedy and dusty fedora in her hand for him to see. "Look familiar? I snatched it off of him during our last encounter. You know what this means?"
Nancy doesn't wait for an answer. She knows she won't get one out of him. "He can be touched. Which means..." She pauses for dramatic effect. Despite her exhaustion, she looks excited. "He can be killed. And this is where you come in."
