You like Sinatra? I never would've guessed! He sure is something, isn't he? I mean, he was still with Tommy Dorsey back in my time, but I've caught up. He really has pipes on him. 

There were times when the TARDIS decided that she wanted to chose the destination. It happened about as often as it didn't, really; the Doctor didn't particularly mind--at least, not most of the time--because the places the TARDIS chose were always full of things to do. Granted, it led to trouble for him half the time, but that was alright. It kept his life interesting, after all. Now was one of those times when the TARDIS picked. The Doctor had wanted to go to the planet of Balovia, because he'd heard that the planet's inhabitants were really quite fascinating. Balovia had a weaker gravitational pull than Earth did, and so the life forms there weighed much less. They were very tall and thin, their arms and legs practically twigs compared to even his own, and oh, the noses... But the TARDIS was apparently not so intrigued, and when the Doctor threw open the doors, he knew he was not on Balovia at all. "Oh, come on, you silly old thing." He chided fondly, looking back at the police box. "This isn't Balovia! This is...huh. Where is this?" He turned 'round and 'round on the spot rather comically, surveying the scenery. He was fairly sure that he had never been to this particular place before. It certainly wasn't Earth--the feel of it was all wrong. Perhaps if he could find someone...

The Doctor shook his head with a silly little smile. Those Asgardians really did use too much of their affections. Setting the small letter down to fold it into a small rose, he set it on his dresser and went about his day. He couldn't say however, that it didn't make his day. It made his hearts lift wonderfully, and he knew he was glad to have their friendship back.
