Hey, remember that time I got so high I forgot Thompsen existed, but more importantly (according to Nirvan) I forgot that MLK was killed by chainsaw hands in Cards Against Humanity?

A Humane Proposal
Let's all sit together scared and feeling vulnerable. Let's all sit under the stars with each other and be small animals in this world, for that is all we are. Let's all sit and stare at the stars romantically because that is all we can do at this point. Look beyond our own atmosphere for a bit of wonder and beauty. We could all lay in a circle on the grass, a big mass of people, one hundred or so, silently sense nature in our own ways, feeling each other as we feel the world and the rest. We could all think with Whitman, it is what he wanted, and still wants in his own time. Silently, one by one, we could have our own epiphanies and when we have had our own we could share with others, lovingly witnessing each others growth in mere moments. And when we are done with that, we would lay back down and see our stars again, the multitudes we had grouped together earlier in our sights and feel each others presence and contentment. Those that hate could momentarily love, and would. And Whitman would dance among the stars and trees and accompanying him would be the song of nature. Each heart would be bathed in the silver sun and the stars would scrub us clean. Some may leave, some may stay, but that moment would stay. Thompson meant it when we existed in some remote corner  of the universe, fires of space bathing our sky in illuminating beauty, a real life hallucination. The beauty of our universe lives in our perception of it. Samuel Langhorne was correct in that nothing can stand against the barrage of laughter, but hopefully some may not be exceedingly challenged in choosing not to hear it. A humane proposal exists somewhere, at all times. In thought or writing or nature. A humane way of living can always be seen subjectively in the universe, but statistically it will fall on deaf ears. All we need is a corner of the universe.
