If you are wondering when I'll ever get tired of drawing portraits of this big mean snake the answer is that I simply won't :) that's my emotional support terrible creature. (He does not do his job.)
Little style experiment to try and find a 'traditional' charcoals or chalk vibe. Don Vallus makes a good candidate because he's shiny so the colors can be all over the place.

This old pic of Don Vallus fell through the cracks while I was still learning the ins and outs of procreate sometime last year. I never draw him that rugged and scaly anymore, but he's a shapeshifter so this may have just been a phase for him anyway. (Like an embarrassing goth highschool photo, but for dragons.)
