So the movies have their own plot but it isnt like the series?
It is like the series, but I guess you can say that things are added/changed a little bit? One good way of describing it that I saw was
"Rebuild of Evangelion" constitutes a separate continuity from the continuity of the original TV series and associated movies, Evangelion: Death and Rebirth and The End of Evangelion."
So It's like an alternate retelling so to say? Still if you like nge i'd recormend you'd check it out!

They’re from the Rebuild of Eva movies! I think there are currently 3 out, and the latest one is 3.0 which is you can (not) redo. From what I’ve heard/seen it’s somewhat of a retelling, yet it kinda isn’t? Like there are changes and there is a new Eva Pilot by the name of Mari. But it’s still really cool
