The curious glances leading up to the approach hadn't been lost on him in the slightest- he could sense he was being watched since he'd started asking around the town, introducing himself and making his intentions known. It was something he'd initially been a tad wary of, considering what had drawn him out here in the first place...
... but, it didn't take more than a look at the 'culprit' for him to relax, as that wasn't the gaze of someone suspicious of him, but curious.
Didn't take much for him to surmise what about by the time she seemed to finally work up the nerve, a welcoming smile greeting the teenager as she worked out the question she just had to ask.
A delighted sparkle in his eyes as he perked up in his seat.
"Well, considering I've interviewed him myself, I'd sure hope I have- would be looking at quite the chat with my boss, otherwise!"
He can't help but laugh at his own joke, warm presence melting the tension away as he set his notepad down flat in front of him, reaching out a hand for the girl to shake, if she felt so inclined.
"Clark Kent, Daily Planet." The man introduced himself, even if he was sure she'd already overheard the same introduction at least a few times by now. "Between you and me, big blue's favorite reporter is Lois Lane, but I think I can tell you anything you wanna know!"
