This fall, the Marvel Universe will introduce us to its newest female superhero (and her 30 foot Tyrannosaurus companion) in the new series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. Created in 1978 by Jack Kirby, Devil Dinosaur roamed an alternate timeline with his caveman companion Moon Boy. This new title will bring Devil into the present day Marvel Universe, and this time will be teamed up with the super-genius mind of teenage Lunella Lafayette, Moon Girl. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-writers Amy Reeder and Brandon Montclare describe Lunella as a "female Inspector Gadget, only this time she knows what she's doing." This intellect of hers will also cause her feelings of isolation from the other people around her—something the writers are also excited to explore. Lunella also happens to carry the Inhuman gene inside of her, and while not triggered yet, she plans to control what happens to her when it does.
