#Repost @amherstcollege with @repostapp ・・・ TONIGHT: Amherst College Theater and Dance presents "The Invisibility of Identity," Lauren Horn's senior thesis in dance. Through a visually visceral journey of music, text, movement, and sound, "The Invisibility of Identity" explores the nuances of intersectional identities. It openly investigates the seemingly necessary ways we edit our identities depending on place and space. Through revelatory interviews, mixed with structured movement this piece dives into questions of identity of the self, the other, the visible and the invisible. "For the first time I realized what being in a Black space felt like. It feels like home. It feels like you can be whoever you are, say whatever you want and people will still love you," writes Horn. Cast: Marvin Bell, Madelyn Clyne, Sarah Jessica Doi, Matthew Holliday, Lauren Horn, Leah Woodbridge. 🎥 #MariaStenzel #AmherstCollege #ThisIsAmherst . April 6-8 at 8 pm, Holden Theater, Webster Hall.
