It may seem trivial but the #esoteric meaning of these two words is an extremely helpful tool for navigating #psychic space-- and the danger each being poses only makes sense when juxtaposed with the other. Satan is the god of materialism. The voice that tells you there is no God and no point to life. Nihilism. To worship Satan is to promote ideas like determinism and social Darwinism or any secular worldview that divides people into groups of "right" and "wrong" people. Satan also represents the manic mind that is addicted to needless consumerism. Lucifer is a bit more tricky to understand, hence the reason most people know nothing about him. Basically, a long time ago, Lucifer was a good being-- a being that stole the light from heaven and gave it to human beings. Over time Lucifer became an evil influence on human beings and started teaching them to worship their own ideas instead of the Creator's Laws. To worship Lucifer is to be spiritually dogmatic. When we think we have "the only correct light" we are worshipping Lucifer. Many of fundamentalist faith, who believe their religion is the only "correct" religion, are actually worshipping Lucifer instead of God. Lucifer is a false light that makes us believe we are correct and everyone else is wrong. To avoid the influence of these beings we must seek balance between our physical and spiritual lives. We place equal importance on taking care of our bodies and our minds.
