Hey! I have a question, since you've been in the SPG fandom for quite a while now. Are you worried that Quintessential will be their last album?
Not at all! It’s only been 2 years since Quintessential and they had a lineup change in that time.
Yeah, when Hatchworth joined they released a new album the next year, but Sam had already been in SPG and had begun writing songs for the bots before he became a bot himself (Please Explain was originally intended to be played with The Jon, if I remember correctly).
Bryan didn’t have that advantage, but he’s introduced two new songs. One of them, Shattered Stars, has that space theme going on, making me super hopeful for the next Vice Quadrant installment that was hinted at in both the final tracks of The Vice Quadrant and Quintessential.
Plus David has said in the past that the band is heavily dependent on album sales, so it seems unlikely that they’re going to stop making new albums.
